SKILLED NURSING FACILITY
ALC Healthcare Network, Inc. assisted this nationally known HMO to open a Skilled Nursing Facility in Northern California. The services provided by ALC included:

• Performing Needs Assessment to determine feasibility of creating services
• Preparing SNF business plans
• Developing cost projections, models and budgets
• Physical plant modification / renovation
• License application
• Education and training in all areas related to SNF regulatory requirements
• Preparation for Licensure, Certification and Life Safety Code Surveys
• SNF operations readiness


Assumed responsibility for the coordination of all pre-opening tasks and all developmental and operational aspects of a Subacute Unit (SAU) that included:

• Managing the process for submission of the Application for a Medi-Cal Care Contract
• Assisting the facility to comply with all regulatory provisions and participation requirements
• Demonstrating bed need
• Contracting support
• Assisting with marketing, public relations and community awareness
• Serving as external consultants to supplement internal expertise in performing all other tasks involved in the successful contracting and initial operation of the Program
