ALC Healthcare Network, Inc. assisted this nationally known HMO to open a Skilled Nursing Facility in Northern California. The services provided by ALC included:

Performing Needs Assessment to determine feasibility of creating services
Preparing SNF business plans
Developing cost projections, models and budgets
Physical plant modification / renovation
License application
Education and training in all areas related to SNF regulatory requirements
Preparation for Licensure, Certification and Life Safety Code Surveys
SNF operations readiness


Assumed responsibility for the coordination of all pre-opening tasks and all developmental and operational aspects of a Subacute Unit (SAU) that included:

Managing the process for submission of the Application for a Medi-Cal Care Contract
Assisting the facility to comply with all regulatory provisions and participation requirements
Demonstrating bed need
Contracting support
Assisting with marketing, public relations and community awareness
Serving as external consultants to supplement internal expertise in performing all other tasks involved in the successful contracting and initial operation of the Program
